Just dropping a note to anyone interested in using the reference
NifTI library (niftijlib)
hosted at sourceforge.net as an
Eclipse Plugin that I have created one such version and will give it out as public domain software. Just give me a shout.
This version of the plugin does the follow:
- niftijlib version 0.2 used.
- plugin IDs are net.sourceforge.nifti for the plugin and net.sourceforge.nifti.feature for the feature plugin.
- All classes are placed in the package net.sourceforge.nifti. (Originals are in the default package in niftijlib)
- Removed niftijlib.jar and Makefile from niftijlib package as they are redundant.
I do not actually have permission to use
net.sourceforge.nifti but figure that the maintainers will not mind. I am of course conforming to Plugin Naming Convention (if your plugin is substantially the same as the original, use the original jar file name.). However, do take note that if they complained I will have to change it.
I did not use gov.nih.nimh.nifti because (1)Original creator choosed to host software at sourceforge.net implying net.sourceforge.nifti over gov.nih.nimh.nifti, (2) use of gov.nih.nimh.nifti implies the plugin is connected to US Government which it is categorically not and finally but most importantly (3)less legal implication if I was sued
